And So It Ends
No I’m not discussing yet another failed relationship. I’m not even discussing Spring Ball for the Fighting Irish. Fret not - my reign of terror upon beers from around the globe will continue.
My car-free lifestyle has ended recently. Actually, merely hours ago. I’m not sure how I feel about that yet; I haven’t fully absorbed it.
I began my life as a full-time cyclist on May 8, 2008. At that time gas prices were astronomical, as was my weight. Gas prices have lowered some, but obviously not enough. My first gas fill up in nearly 2 years happened around 5pm tonight. $46 for 13 gallons. Yikes. My weight did better. I lowered from 300lbs to my low point of 255lbs. I was able to stay at 260lbs easy without trying to maintain any sort of diet. Going was slow, but weight was still leaving me. My pedals haven’t spun, my front break hasn’t squawked, my tail light hasn’t flashed in nearly 3 weeks. I’m 269lbs.
I wanna go ride.
